True, this proposal will not affect most of us in Silicon Valley as a typical home is not 3000 square feet or larger. However, once this holy grail of property owner rights is challenged, everything else is up for grabs. 3000 square feet or lager is the start of the slippery slope; it will eventually end with the complete elimination of the mortgage interest rate deduction: mark my words.

Homeownership should become easier with successive generations, not more difficult. The government should remove hurdles, not throw them in front of us.
