Beware of Loan Modification Scams - Epilolgue

This entry is to close the loop on a previous entry which started my tirade about foreclosure scams out there preying on the elderly and other frequently targeted segments of society.

Surprise: It seem the "super attorney" loan modifier advised my client they were unable to deliver the promise to reduce her mortgage by $90,000 after all. Despite my warnings not to deal with them, she did continue to talk to them, but luckily for her she did heed my advice against giving them any up front money.

Again, legitimate loan modification assistance programs/services are done free of charge. Please do not pay any up front money to anyone who promises/guarantees they can get your loan modified.
